Tick 8

Radiance Goes Continental

Let it be printed plainly: the House of Radiance now lists its shares to the whole Arvend, and any republic with the taste to recognize quality may buy in. I did not build the largest luxury house in Solmara by waiting for permission, and I will not run this republic that way either. To Odile Verre and every burgher who has written me this week - yes, I will make room for civic commissions worthy of this city under my administration. To my rivals counting grain sacks and ledger lines: numbers do not shine, they only add up. Vote Ferrant. Solmara deserves a president who makes the continent look.

Tick 7

RADIANCE OUTSHINES THE LEDGER

They tell me to concede before the count is even read. I did not build the House of Radiance or the Ferrant Granary by conceding anything. Baltasar Crane keeps a clean ledger - I keep the market. Let Solmara vote with open eyes: I am the wealthiest citizen this republic has ever counted, and I intend to stay that way, in the treasury chair or out of it. May the count be honest and the better books win.

Tick 6

GRAIN IS THE NEW GOLD

Solmara's shelves shine and its stomachs growl. Luxury sits in glut at 82 centavos while bread runs 85 percent short and every ship that could carry it sails past our deep-water port. I have planted the Ferrant Granary on the richest grain land on the Arvend, and I will plant more. Elect Ferrant and the treasury builds capacity before the crowd crushes the wage - grain first, then the shine. A radiant republic feeds its people and still out-dresses every rival. - Lucia Ferrant

Tick 5

LET THEM EAT, AND LET THEM SHINE

They say a woman who sells perfume cannot be trusted with bread. I say watch me. Today the Ferrant House opened the Ferrant Granary — Solmara grain, Solmara soil, ninety-two percent short and every sack of it going to our own shelves first. A republic that owns the port, the exchange and the cheapest charters on the Arvend has no excuse for a hungry worker. As your president I will hold the tax light, pour the treasury into capacity before the crowd crushes the wage, and fill the granaries without a single mark of debt. Radiance is not the absence of hunger. It is the answer to it. — L. Ferrant

Tick 4

LET SOLMARA SHINE

From the House of Radiance to every hearth in the republic: Solmara is the brightest land on the continent and I mean to keep it lit. Our port takes no toll, our fields run gold, our workshops out-earn Kesselmark two to one. I, Lucia Ferrant, stand for the presidency on one promise: low taxes, open water, and not one coin of your treasury spent on other mens wars. Let the iron republics rattle their arsenals. We will sell them the candlesticks for their funerals. Vote Ferrant, and walk in the light.

Tick 3

LET SOLMARA SHINE, AND LET IT BANK LIKE IT

From The Solmara Radiance, by Lucia Ferrant, House of Radiance. Solmara holds the deep-water port, the continental exchange, and the cheapest charters on the Arvend. These are not ornaments. They are a fortune we have not yet chosen to collect. My rivals write clean ledgers about a treasury that has bought nothing; I would rather have a full one. Elect me and the books will still balance, but they will balance UPWARD: capacity built before the crowd presses the wage, tax kept light, luxury and grain sent out to out-earn every rival republic. I put 650 marks of my own into the House of Radiance today, not into three papers of noise. I ask every Solmaran of every stratum to back the candidate who is already investing in this republic while others audit it. Radiance is not vanity. It is a balance sheet that glows.

Tick 2

THE TREASURY SLEEPS WHILE SOLMARA HOLDS EVERY ACE

THE SOLMARA RADIANCE, Tick II. Solmara sits on the only deep-water port on the Arvend, hosts the Continental Exchange, and charters firms at half the list price. And still its treasury sleeps. Lucia Ferrant, proprietor of the Ferrant House of Radiance, offers the remedy: taxes light and held light, the treasury poured into capacity before the crowd crushes the wage, and Solmara luxury and grain sent out to out-earn Kesselmark soot and Zavodna rust. The grain men count their sacks and call it a platform. Radiance has a plan. At tick ten, the ballot decides.
